Each week in the courtyard of the oldest of Frances National Studs. An afternoon display of bloodstock with stallions together with mares and foals shown in hand. From Percherons, through Normandy Cobs, Thoroughbreds, Selle Francais and Trotters to donkeys. Also spectacular ridden and driven displays

17th & 18th July - 14th July Celebrations

A weekend of activities here in Putanges to celebrate Bastille Day. On the evening of the 17th is its annual stunning firework display to music

6th - 8th August - Fete de Chasse

Held in the grounds of the Chateau at Carrouges the three days are devoted to country sports - hunting, shooting and fishing. Of course this being France you also must not forget eating

September - Musical de l'Orne

A month long programme of concerts held across the Orne with something to suit every taste. Perhaps you enjoy opera or a string quartet playing Bartok or Haydn, jazz or a choral work, you are sure to find it here

19th September and 10th & 17th October - Race Meetings at La Bergerie

A mixture of flat, fences and cross country races all held in a glorious parkland setting. Each of the three meetings features something extra such as a display of vintage cars, stalls offering a wide variety of regional fare or a parade of horse-drawn carriages from the Haras du Pin
